Determining your ring size

For gift of the Band of Brothers’ Ring to a friend/brother: It is ok to go ahead and order a ring – even if you don’t know the size. We have found that the average ring size is 10. If you have noticed that your friend has larger than average fingers, then you may want to order a size 11 or 12. If the gift of the ring does not fit your friend, he has two options:

  1. Have the jeweler re-size the ring; or
  2. Return the undamaged ring to us with a note which includes his shipping address and the correct ring size, and we will replace the ring with one of his proper size (but we only offer whole sizes 7-13). We can only offer this service once per gifted ring, so make sure your friend gets his ring size properly determined – see below. (please review our refund policy)

For gift of the Princess Ring: We recommend having a qualified jeweler get a ring measurement. In the alternative, please refer to the measurement chart below. Please note that it is easier to increase a ring size by 1/2 size than to downsize a ring. Additionally, if the ring does not fit, if you do not want to have a jeweler resize the ring you may return the undamaged ring to us with a note which includes your daughter’s correct ring size, and we will replace the ring with one of her proper size (but we only offer sizes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9). We can only offer this service once per gifted ring, so make sure your daughter gets her ring size properly determined – see below. (please review our refund policy)

Taking your own ring measurement. The best way to determine ring size is to get a measurement from a qualified jeweler. Otherwise, you can use the method and chart below:

  1. Wrap a piece of string or strip of paper (no wider than ¼” thick) snugly around the base of the finger that you want to wear the ring. Make sure that it slips over the joints of the finger without too much difficulty.
  2. Mark the string or the paper where it meets to form a complete circle around your finger.
  3. Measure the marked length of string or paper and compare it with the chart below to determine your ring size. Note: If your measurement falls between two ring sizes, order the smaller ring size. It is relatively easy for a jeweler to upsize this ring by a 1/2 ring size.
